Weeks 1 - Initial Consultation 45 mins (£275)
During this 45-min consultation, we'll go through your full medical history and take stock of all the physical and emotional symptoms that you may have as well as lifestyle factors - nutrition, exercise, sleep and relaxation. Some hormone therapies may be started without any specific specific tests, based on your symptom history; other times we may decide that testing is recommended; this could be a blood test done via a blood draw or a urine hormone test (dried urine test for comprehensive hormones), which is usually done at home. Please note additional pathology costs are not included in the consultation cost.
Weeks 2-6 - Review 30 mins (£175)
The 2-6 review allows the doctor to review results of any previously organised testing or to assess how you are progressing with any treatment that may have been prescribed on the initial consultation, and to make any adjustments to your medication, food and self-care plans. This consultation is up to 30 minutes and will need to be scheduled by you after your Initial consultation.
Months 6 - 12 - Review 30 mins (£175)
Subsequent Review appointments with the doctor will happen at 3 - 6 monthly intervals depending on the support you may need. These Reviews allow the doctor to assess how you are progressing with your treatment, and to make any adjustments to your medication, food and self-care plans. A minimum of a yearly review is recommended once you are well and stable on hormone replacement therapies. Mammogram screening is usually recommended as per NHS guidance every 3 years. Other tests, such a pelvic scan may occasionally be recommended depending on your circumstances and the type of hormone replacement therapy you are prescribed
